“ A wonderful place for coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and excellent quality, freshly prepared, real ingredients, delicious food!!! A casual and comfortable atmosphere where guests can seat themselves and feel relaxed to enjoy their order without being rushed in any way. Local produce is used for the majority of the home cooked style foods, breads, and pastries, and local artists' works are available for sale on the caffe walls. This is truly a delightful cafe I highly recommend. ”

“ Welcome to Folktale Coffee and Bakehouse! Located on a cozy corner of a festive brick street, this inviting cafe was the perfect respite from the chilly winter gusts. As a coffee connoisseur, I'm always on the hunt for a perfect mocha. My quest mates with me, we tried the rich and creamy mocha latte, silky homemade hot chocolate, robust Cubano, and refreshing and unique Farmer iced tea. We also tried their golden speculous and salted chocolate chip cookies. Art and legend drift like an ambient candle through the atmosphere of this establishment. Brooke, the one woman army, was like an informant tavern keeper, answering all our questions, taking our orders, and crafting our drinks with careful diligence. This place is very roomy with plenty of space whether you feel like chatting across a table or reclining on a sunlit couch. I'd love to come here again when I'm in town. To the next coffee adventure! ”

The food looked wonderful but we were only stopping in for coffee Definitely wide selection of food items with in house baked goods daily. ”
“ We had the absolute BEST time this morning at Folktale. They were absolutely slammed but service was fast and excellent. My husband had the Red Eye and Chicken and Waffles, which were fantastic (the hot sauce on top was unexpected but literally perfect). I had the brunch burger myself and cannot get over how good it was. I’m gonna be dreaming about this burger for the rest of my life- I think I’ve found my white whale of brunches. 100% recommend. ”
“ We were looking for a coffee shop on our way to the Ark Encounter and stumbled upon this hidden gem! The decor was charming and cozy, and the entire place was clean. The service was great and attentive. We ended up ordering a little bit of everything: sourdough French toast, oatmeal, a bagel breakfast sandwich, a sourdough breakfast sandwich, and of course, two dirty chai lattes. Every bite and sip was absolutely delicious. Truly a phenomenal experience all around! I highly recommend! ”

The chef and owner, DJ, is truly a food and wine enthusiast and everything that we tried (vegan pumpkin pasta, avocado toast and tofu tacos for brunch) were unique, beautifully not just made but CRAFTED, and out of this world. The coffee is also amazing, all freshly made syrups, and yummy vegan scones. Don’t think, just go, order those, and be happy! ”
